We are currently looking for two new Charity Trustees to support North Norfolk Foodbank.
There are 2x vacancies - Treasurer and Data Protection Lead.
Location:
Cromer, with occassional travel further afield.
Contract Type:
Trustees will be appointed for a three-year term and can serve two terms (up to six years).
Hours Per Week:
2-4
Salary:
Voluntary.
The role of Trustee is unpaid but some out of pocket expenses such as travel can be covered.
About the Organisation:
North Norfolk Foodbank is a charity supporting those facing poverty and hunger. We help people with food, essential toiletries, energy, and provide advice and signposting for further support.
We operate 7 distribution centres across North Norfolk and Broadland, a warehouse and office in Cromer, and carry out deliveries and collections across a wide area of the district in our two electric vans.
We were formed in 2012 and have 4 members of staff and around 84 volunteers.
We’re part of the Trussell network of foodbanks across the UK, but we’re an independent charity in our own right. Registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales.
About the Role:
As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organisation towards fulfilling its mission, ensuring effective governance, and making a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the organisation
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Support fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with fellow trustees and staff to achieve organisational goals

An Enhanced DBS check will be required for all potential Trustees, along with two references and checks for insolvency, company director disqualification, and the register of removed Trustees.
