We are asking local people to help bring festive cheer to families struggling to eat this Christmas by donating festive food items to the foodbank. For some families, the Christmas extras given out alongside standard food parcels will be their only treat this Christmas.
Christmas is a very tough time to be hungry – it’s cold and it is heartbreaking to know you cannot give your children a Christmas treat when everyone else is celebrating. Hidden behind closed doors there are many local families with little to look forward to this Christmas, the good news is we can all help. We hope that the people of North Norfolk will embrace our Christmas appeal to give local people with little to look forward to a happier Christmas.
Items requested include stuffing, gravy, instant mash, boxes of biscuits, selection boxes, Christmas pudding and cake, mince pies and savoury snacks.
So that we can distribute the festive food in time for Christmas, we ask that donations are made by Friday 6th December.
Food can be dropped off at North Norfolk Foodbank at Cromer Methodist Church or a local donation point.
